Travelling by train from London to Blackpool takes about 3 and a half to 4 hours. There are approximately ten daily services on that route. Lots of other competing seaside resorts in Britain shut down for the winter months though not Blackpool. Each October and Nov Blackpool switches on the famous Blackpool lights, an one mile stretch of the promenade that's adorned with millions of bulbs which are fashioned into displays and decorations to wow the visitors.
