Liverpool

Liverpool is a city and urban borough of Merseyside, Britain, along the eastern side of the Mersey Estuary. It was founded as a borough in 1207 and was given city standing in 1880. Liverpool is the 4th biggest city in the UK and has a population of 435,500, and lies at the center of the broader Liverpool urbanized area that has a population of 816,216.

The admiration for The Beatles and the other groups from the Merseybeat time makes a contribution to Liverpool's standing as a visitor destination; tourism forms a serious part of the city's modern economy. An addition to the area is the Liverpool Echo Arena. Scene of many big touring shows, there building work has provided a new choice of eateries to eat at, together with a massive vehicle park if required!

Also, since the start of the current year, a new Liverpool Wheel has been constructed overlooking the area and docks. Take a tour on Liverpool's on eye and luxuriate in the view up and down the Brook Mersey as you peer over the Albert Docks and the Arena. For the ones that enjoy a little bit of shopping there's also Liverpool 1 ( with the imaginatively named Everton two shop ) mall across the road which has just appeared out of the blue as an element of the new rebuilding the city has experienced over the last one or two years.

With another massive selection of Liverpool cafes and a massive quantity of massive name shops, this leads nicely into the primary shopping area for people that have appeared at the Albert Docks and then wish to see more.

After Liverpool 1 head over to Liverpool Nightlife area where you will find the famous Cave, made famous by the Beatles and the Flanagans. There's lots to see and do in the beautiful city of Liverpool.
